Started by @callummay, a journalist and regular court-goer for the purposes of news. I became irrationally annoyed by the use of gavels in the media to depict the law in the UK. It’s an obession I probably inherited from reading Marcel Berlins’s books and newspaper columns. I’m fairly cool with many creeping Americanisations, but not this one.
